Emmerdale fans fear Charity Dingle prison exit after Todd death

Emmerdale fans are predicting Charity Dingle will be sent to prison following the death of Dr. Caitlin Todd, with many expecting a temporary exit for the character.

Arrest and Interview

Charity was arrested and detained at the police station after Todd died in a confrontation at Jacob's Fold. Sarah Sugden pushed Todd, who fell and hit her head on a coffee table, dying instantly. Charity took responsibility to shield her granddaughter, and both were taken in for questioning.

During the interview, DS Ramsden suggested Charity had murdered Todd as retribution, as the rape inquiry had not progressed as Charity hoped. Sarah was released, but Charity was forced to stay overnight while the murder investigation continued.

Fan Reactions and Predictions

Viewers took to Reddit and X to share their fears. One fan asked: "So, does anyone have the fear that Charity's going to end up in prison for a while? could bring a temporary break for Emma Atkins after the big storyline. Or maybe a prison storyline?"

Another theorised: "I think Charity will go to prison for a while, and Mack moves to be near Charity's prison so he can visit." A third added: "The EP has said Mack/Charity is her favourite couple, and they are fan favourites so they won't be splitting up."

On X, one viewer wrote: "Can't Believe Charity Is Going Out Of #Emmerdale".

Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV and ITVX.
