Emergency Services Called to Sheil Road After Loud Bang

Emergency services were called to Sheil Road in Liverpool last night after a "loud bang" was reported coming from a home. Merseyside Police said it was called around 8.15pm on Monday, August 10, after being alerted to the noise coming from a home on Mallow Road.

Police and Ambulance Response

Police and North West Ambulance Services attended the scene. Enquiries later discovered the noise had come from a resident burning rubbish. An electric device was put in the fire, which caused the loud bang, the force confirmed. No injuries were reported, and the scene was later stood down.

Resident Concern

Concerned residents contacted the ECHO to find out what had happened after a number of emergency service vehicles descended on the area last night. A video shows a number of police vehicles and ambulances on the street.
