Police in Washington DC are hunting a suspect after a shooting left four people injured, including a child. Officers were called to a reported shooting on the 6200 block of Dix Street NE, near the Maryland border, at about 1.40pm local time on Friday.
Victims found with gunshot wounds
Upon arriving at the scene, Sixth District officers found three men and a male child, whose age was not immediately disclosed, with gunshot wounds. DC police said in preliminary information that one of the men was found unconscious and not breathing.
All four injured people were taken to hospital, with one of them transported by helicopter.
Suspect vehicle identified
Officers are searching for a suspect in a silver Honda Accord with unknown license plates, NBC Washington reports. Police did not immediately say whether arrests had been made.
