A massive fire is tearing through Dalton Mills, a disused landmark building in Keighley, Yorkshire, with police closing the nearby road and urging residents to stay indoors.
Road closed as crews battle blaze
Firefighters are at the scene on Dalton Lane, which has been shut to all traffic while West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service works to bring the situation under control. A cordon is in place around the building.
West Yorkshire Police issued a statement saying: "Please be aware that Dalton Mills are currently on fire. Dalton Lane in Keighley is currently closed to all traffic, as our colleagues from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are working to bring the situation under control."
Residents advised to stay away
Police added: "We advise people to stay away from the area, and residents in the vicinity to keep all doors and windows closed."
The site has suffered a handful of major fires over the last four years. More than 100 firefighters battled a blaze at the mill in March 2022.
