A 25-year-old British man who went missing at sea has been found dead on a beach in Malaga, Spain. The man vanished late Wednesday evening after entering the water at Misericordia Beach, sparking a three-day search involving police, coastguards, and Red Cross officials.
His body was discovered early Saturday morning on the sand at neighbouring Huelin Beach, near a picnic area. Spanish police have confirmed the body is that of the missing Briton and have said the death is not being treated as suspicious.
An autopsy has been ordered, but results are unlikely to be made public as they will be sent directly to an investigating magistrate. Authorities have not yet determined whether the man drowned or died from other causes.
It remains unclear whether the man lived locally or was visiting the area. Huelin Beach is a popular spot west of Malaga city centre, known for its leisure zones, beach bars, and restaurants.
