Coronation Street fans think they have spotted a 'blunder' when it comes to Sarah Platt's time behind bars, which comes as she faces a threat from a fellow inmate.
As those who follow the ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford, know, the character has already spent weeks in prison, having been arrested and charged for the murder of Theo Silverton.
She was found to be the builder's killer months after his lifeless body was found by a horrified Betsy Swain on the night of her mum, Lisa Swain's, wedding to Carla Connor, with his death coming after he subjected his husband, Todd Grimshaw, to 13 months of physical and mental abuse.
Flashback scenes reveal Sarah's role
In flashback scenes aired in June, following Theo's demise in April, it was revealed to Corrie viewers that it was Sarah who appeared to deal the blow that sent a drunk Theo tumbling off the scaffolding outside his flat and plummeting to the ground - before she called on her former flame, Gary Windass, for help.
As Todd struggled in the aftermath of his abusive husband's murder, Sarah ended up confessing the truth of her crime to her best friend, while her partner, DC Kit Green, found out when she admitted to killing Theo as he was trying to pop the question.
Despite Kit's attempts to help cover up her crime, Sarah was arrested on suspicion of killing Theo and while, at first, she pleaded her innocence, the evidence was stacked against her and DS Lisa Connor-Swain said she had no choice but to charge Sarah with Theo's murder.
Blackmail from a fellow inmate
Sarah's imprisonment has since continued, and after facing an attack from another inmate, she is now finding herself being blackmailed by another. After being comforted by fellow prisoner, Kacey, she has now turned to Sarah to get her son off the hook for a reported armed robbery.
In scenes aired during Monday's (August 17) episode of Corrie, Kacey was seen pressuring Sarah to get Kit to pull some strings to help her out. Sarah explained that she and Kit were no longer together, and that there was probably nothing he could do anyway.
However, Kacey continued to plead with Sarah and tried to use emotional tactics about their friendship inside, and how she tried to protect her from her recent attack.
Fans distracted by cell photos
Despite Sarah facing a prison nightmare, it appears Corrie fans were distracted by her cell, specifically the photos she has chosen to join her as she faces the rest of her life behind bars.
