Co Antrim crash: 3 in hospital incl 2 officers after collision

Three people, including two police officers, have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a police car. The collision also involved a van and took place yesterday morning in the Rock Road area of Dunrod, County Antrim.

Emergency services attended the scene, and two police officers and a male driver were all taken to hospital. The extent of their injuries has not been revealed.

PSNI statement on the collision

A PSNI spokesperson said: "At approximately 7.25am two vehicles, including a police car, were in collision in the Rock Road area of Dundrod."

The spokesperson added: "Police colleagues attended the scene, alongside colleagues from other emergency services and two police officers and a male driver were taken to hospital for treatment for their injuries."

Enquiries are ongoing, and police have appealed to anyone with any information or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage available from the scene to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 204 11/09/26.
