Woman Killed in Chippenham House Explosion

Emergency services rushed to a residential street in Chippenham on Thursday afternoon following reports of an explosion at a house. The incident occurred at Orchard Crescent, where a woman in her 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wiltshire Police confirmed that the woman's next of kin have been informed. The force stated there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. A police spokesperson said: "Sadly, a woman in her 40s died at the scene. Our thoughts are with her family at this time."

Firefighters and paramedics also attended, with Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service confirming two crews from Chippenham were called at 3.18pm. At the height of the response, there were eight police vehicles, two fire engines, four fire cars, an ambulance, and an ambulance rapid response vehicle on the scene.
