The Pillán T-35 aircraft went down this morning in the Coquimbo region, according to local media reports. The plane had taken off from El Bosque Air Base in Santiago and was heading north towards Antofagasta when it encountered difficulties.
Approximately 20 miles from La Serena, the aircraft experienced a problem with its engine and executed an emergency landing. However, rescue teams have not yet reached the remote location where the plane came to rest.
