Paramedics were called to Hyde Leisure Pool on Walker Lane in Hyde, Greater Manchester, following reports of a child in difficulty in the water.
The pool was evacuated as emergency crews rushed to assist. Witnesses reported seeing ambulance crews performing CPR at the scene.
It is understood the child was conscious when taken to hospital for further checks. The North West Ambulance Service has been approached for more information, and Active Tameside, which operates the facility, has also been contacted for comment.
