Child Rushed to Hospital After Manchester Pool Incident

Emergency services rushed a child to hospital following an incident at a leisure centre pool in Hyde, Greater Manchester, on Sunday afternoon.

Paramedics were called to the Hyde Leisure Pool on Walker Lane at around 3pm on Sunday, May 3, after reports that a child had gotten into difficulty in the water. Witnesses said the pool was evacuated as medical crews arrived.

One witness told the Manchester Evening News that they saw ambulance staff performing CPR at the scene. However, it is understood that the child was conscious when taken to hospital for further checks after being pulled from the water.

Emergency Response

The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) has been approached for further details. Active Tameside, which operates the leisure facility, has also been contacted for comment.

The child's condition is not yet known, but authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
