Charity pleads for info on missing Aberdeen man Sumon Hoque

Sumon Hoque, a founding member of the charity Aberdeen Muslims, has been missing for nearly a month, prompting a heartfelt plea from the organisation and Police Scotland. The 5ft 8in, slim-built man with short black hair and bushy eyebrows was last seen in Kings Crescent, Aberdeen, on June 20, 2026.

Growing concerns for safety

Concerns for Hoque's welfare are escalating as he has not been seen since that date. Police Scotland launched a public appeal on July 8, urging anyone with information to come forward. The force stated that Hoque has links across Scotland and England, though specific locations have not been disclosed.
