CCTV appeal after woman sexually assaulted in Barnsley car park

Police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with a sexual assault in a Barnsley car park. The attack took place in the early hours of Sunday, October 16 last year.

The victim, a woman in her 20s, was reportedly assaulted in the Wellington Street car park at around 3.50am. Officers from South Yorkshire Police have been investigating since the incident was reported and are now appealing to the public for help identifying the man pictured.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: 'We are sharing a CCTV image of an individual we believe could hold important information about a reported sexual assault. Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident was reported, and officers are now in a position to appeal to the public for information in an effort to identify the man in the images.'
