Detectives have issued CCTV images of a man they want to speak to after a burglary at a house in Tuebrook. The incident happened on Sunday, July 26, between 12.30pm and 2pm, when a teenage girl left a house on Green Lane. When she returned, she found the front door wide open and a man on the stairs holding a Dior lipstick and a grey backpack containing several items.
Burglar fled towards Tynwald Hill
The man pushed the teenage girl out of his way and ran out of the back gate towards Tynwald Hill and then onto Lister Drive. As well as the lipstick, two car keys were also taken. Extensive CCTV examinations have been conducted in the area, and detectives have now released two CCTV images of a man they believe could help the investigation.
Police urge public to come forward
Detective Inspector Lee Egerton said: "This was a frightening experience for the victim who found a man stealing several items from inside her house. To break into someone's home is a serious offence and we are committed to finding the person responsible."
He added: "We believe that the man pictured could further assist this ongoing investigation, so if you know him please come forward as soon as possible. I also urge people who live on Green Lane and saw what happened or has any information to contact us. While some weeks have passed since the incident, any information you hold could be vital to our investigation."
