A Cardiff city centre street has been closed for hours on Friday evening as police are involved in a stand off with a man on a building.
The street, between Barrack Lane and Charles Street, has been closed off for more than four hours after emergency services cordoned off the area.
Eyewitness reports
Eyewitnesses reported that a man climbed on the roof of a nearby building around 6pm, and was still there at 10pm.
It is reported that cardboard planks from the roof were thrown at the ground below, there was also the sound of breaking glass and police negotiators were seen at the scene.
Scene expands
The cordon was increased and onlookers were moved closer to the nearby Admiral building. A police helicopter and drone were also seen in the sky.
Local resident Ian Snook said: "First of all the fire alarm went off, the fire engine came, then the police came."
