Two car thieves who filmed themselves in a Range Rover they had just stolen have been jailed. Joel Wolfenden and Graham Cooke, both 26, were part of a criminal operation that stole vehicles from homes in Gorton and Levenshulme in January.
Sentencing and Arrests
The pair were sentenced alongside Kamran Khan, 36, who was filmed dancing inside a lock-up where stolen cars were kept. The trio were arrested following police raids in Wythenshawe, Stretford, Cheshire and West Yorkshire in March.
Greater Manchester Police said a chop shop was found in Frodsham. Vehicles stolen included a BMW X5, an Audi Quatro, a Renault Kadjur and a Mercedes Allied M8 Auto. A Skoda Kamiq engine, a Land Rover Range Rover gear box and a Mercedes E220D door trim were also found by cops.
Evidence and Guilty Pleas
The force said videos showed Wolfenden and Cooke driving cars they had just taken. It is thought there were at least 23 burglaries. Wolfenden and Cooke pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary dwelling with intent to steal at properties between January 12 and February 3, 2026.
Wolfenden, of no fixed address, also admitted two counts of conspiracy to steal a motor vehicle, as did Cooke, of Harley Wood, Todmorden. Wolfenden was jailed for seven years and 10 months and Cooke for eight years and 11 months.
Khan's Sentence
Khan admitted guilty to knowingly handling stolen goods between September 29, 2024 and March 13, 2026, linked to some of the burglaries. He was handed a three-year sentence, suspended for two years; and ordered to take part rehabilitation activities and complete 300 hours of unpaid work.
