Dramatic footage has captured the moment a car burst into flames following a two-vehicle crash on a Glasgow street.
Emergency services were called to Cumbernauld Road, near the junction with the M8 and Gartloch Road, at around 7.30pm on Sunday, September 27, reports GlasgowLive.
Vehicle engulfed in flames
Police Scotland said the collision resulted in one of the vehicles catching fire. Footage shows huge yellow and orange flames engulfing the front of the car as thick black smoke poured into the sky.
Emergency crews attended and the blaze was extinguished. No injuries have been reported. Police have now launched an investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crash.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.30pm on Sunday, 27 September, 2026, we were called to a two-vehicle crash on Cumbernauld Road in Glasgow, which resulted in a vehicle fire.
"Emergency services attended, the fire was extinguished and there were no reports of injuries.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for further comment.
