A large fire broke out in a disused unit opposite the Tafarn y Porth Wetherspoons pub in Caernarfon, North Wales, on Tuesday evening. Pubgoers captured footage of the blaze as flames tore through the empty property on Stryd y Porth Fawr.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 8pm. Fire crews and police attended, with officers cordoning off the area while firefighters tackled the inferno. The fire was quickly brought under control, and nearby properties, including flats above the unit, were reported to be relatively unscathed.
The unit, believed to have been a former cafe, had been vacant for many years. The cause of the fire is currently unknown. No injuries have been reported.
