A 31-year-old British woman has died following a stabbing at Rosenheim railway station in Germany. Police were called in the early hours of Sunday morning after reports of a woman being attacked with a knife and sustaining critical injuries.
Victim Dies in Hospital
The woman was taken to hospital, where she later died. A 27-year-old German man was arrested at the scene as the suspected attacker.
Investigation and Witness Appeal
Authorities have said they remain uncertain about the circumstances and motive behind the assault. They have appealed for witnesses to come forward, asking anyone who saw "an argument" or a "physical altercation" at the station just before 1am local time on Sunday to contact them.
Police have not disclosed whether the victim and suspect were acquainted or if there was any connection to the Rosenheim Autumn Festival, a similar event to Oktoberfest that attracts more than a million visitors over its 16-day run.

Rosenheim, one of the major cities in Upper Bavaria, is a significant transport junction for travellers heading to Austrian destinations including Vienna, Salzburg, and Innsbruck.
