
Portuguese police have launched an intensive manhunt for a British national after a brutal attack in central Lisbon left a man fighting for his life in hospital.
The violent incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning in the bustling Cais do Sodré area, a popular nightlife district frequented by tourists and locals alike.
Critical Condition After City Centre Violence
The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was rushed to Hospital de São José following the assault and remains in critical condition. Medical sources describe his injuries as severe and life-threatening.
Emergency services responded to reports of a violent altercation near the riverside area, which has become one of Lisbon's most popular entertainment zones in recent years.
International Manhunt Underway
Portuguese authorities have confirmed they are searching for a British man in connection with the attack. The suspect reportedly fled the scene before police arrived and remains at large.
