A British man has died and his teenage son has been seriously injured following a quad bike crash on the Greek island of Corfu. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon on the rural Roda-Acharavi road near Almyros.

The 42-year-old father was driving the quad bike with his 15-year-old son as a passenger when the vehicle left the road for unknown reasons and crashed into an olive grove. Local media reported that the accident happened at around 2pm local time.

Emergency services, including police and the fire department, responded to the scene. The driver was freed from the wreckage and taken to the regional medical office in Acharavi, before being transferred to the Hospital of Corfu. Ambulance personnel attempted to keep him alive, but he later died.
