Porn Actor Who Stuffed Couple's Bodies in Suitcases Jailed for Life

A Colombian porn actor who murdered a couple and abandoned their body parts in suitcases near the Clifton Suspension Bridge has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 42 years. Yostin Andres Mosquera, 35, was found guilty of killing Albert Alfonso, 62, and Paul Longworth, 71, at their flat in Shepherd's Bush, west London, in July last year.

The court heard Mosquera battered Mr Longworth to death with a hammer before slitting Mr Alfonso's throat during a sex game, which he filmed. He then decapitated and dismembered both victims, storing their heads in a chest freezer and transporting the remains in suitcases to Bristol. His plan to throw the suitcases off the Clifton Suspension Bridge was foiled when staff noticed a leak and shone lights on him, causing him to flee.

Mosquera was arrested at Bristol Temple Meads railway station and later told a cyclist on the bridge that the suitcases contained car parts. The prosecution said the murders were 'calculated' and 'premeditated', carried out to steal from the victims. Mosquera had searched online for phrases such as 'hammer killer' and 'how long before a corpse starts to decompose', and attempted to access the couple's bank accounts.

He initially claimed Mr Alfonso had killed Mr Longworth and that he was guilty only of manslaughter due to loss of control, but a jury convicted him of both murders. He also pleaded guilty to child pornography charges. The judge noted that Mosquera may never be safe to release, and the sentence includes time already served.
