Brecon High School in Wales was placed in a perimeter lockdown on Thursday after police received a report of an online threat. Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed they were called to the school just after 11.30am on April 27.
Head teacher Rob Edwards told parents and carers not to come to the school to collect children, as this could hinder the safe management of the situation. Lessons and lunch arrangements continued as normal, with pupils supervised indoors and on site.
A police spokesperson stated: 'Dyfed-Powys Police is dealing with an incident at Brecon High School today. Officers are currently working with the school following a threat that has been made online.' The perimeter lockdown was due to be lifted at the end of the school day, with a visible police presence maintained as pupils left.
