Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers were called to a massive brawl outside the Dar Al-Hadi Foundation Islamic Centre on Higher Ardwick in Manchester on Monday evening, June 22, 2026. The incident, which occurred around 15:31, involved dozens of people and was captured on video that circulated online.
Footage Shows Violent Altercation
The footage, shared on social media, shows several men throwing punches at each other. In one instance, a cone is thrown during the melee. The brawl took place outside the mosque, prompting police attendance.
Police Response and No Crime Reported
A GMP spokesperson said: “Officers attended the mosque and a number of people were spoken to. No reports of a crime were made to us.” Despite the violent scenes, no formal complaints were filed.
The Dar Al-Hadi Foundation Islamic Centre has been approached for comment but has not yet responded. The incident has raised concerns among local worshippers and residents.
