A boy has been rushed to hospital with a broken leg after being hit by a car in Heywood.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a child on King Street at around 3.10pm on Thursday (September 24).
The driver, a man in his 60s, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs. He remains in custody.
Child taken to hospital
The child was taken to hospital, Greater Manchester Police said. An air ambulance also landed nearby following the crash.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At 3:10pm this afternoon (Thursday 24 November), Officers were called to reports of a collision between and car and a child on King Street in Heywood.
"A man in his 60s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possessing class a drugs.
"The child was taken to hospital with a broken leg.
"The driver remains in custody."

Pictures from the scene show a large emergency services presence on King Street, including police, paramedics, and firefighters.
Another picture shows an air ambulance landing in a playing field off Wilton Grove and Cobden Street, not far from the crash.
A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: "Just after 3.15pm on Thursday 24 September, fire crews from Rochdale and Ashton attended a road traffic collision on King Street, Heywood.
"Firefighters worked alongside colleagues from North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Police and one casualty has been taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary.
"Fire crews were on the scene for around 1 hour 15 minutes."
