Boy, 16, arrested after Trafford Centre violence

Police were called to a 'disturbance' at the Trafford Centre on Monday evening (August 17), leading to the arrest of a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon.

Arrest and Incident

According to an eyewitness, a fight broke out in one of the car parks. A male was hurt amid the incident, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said, but left the scene. He 'remains unknown'.

Police Statement

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of a disturbance at the Trafford Centre last night (17/08/2026) and arrested a boy, aged 16, on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon."

The male suspected to have received an injury had left the scene and at this time remains unknown. Enquiries are ongoing.
