A teenage boy is in custody and another is being treated in hospital for a cut to his abdomen after an incident at a high school in Granville, Sydney, on Thursday morning.
Incident at Granville South High School
Emergency services were called to Granville South Creative and Performing Arts High School on Rowley Road at around 10.15am local time, following reports a 14-year-old boy had been injured. Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command have been told the boy suffered a cut to his abdomen and was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance before being taken to hospital. His condition is described as stable.
Second Student Detained
A second student, also aged 14, was detained on-site before police arrived and took him into custody. A knife has been seized and taken for further examination. Police remain on scene working with staff at the school; no further incidents have been reported, and all students are reported to be safe.
