A 13-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed at a Taco Bell in Rochdale town centre. Two teenage boys have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Emergency response and scene
An air ambulance and several police vehicles were dispatched to the scene shortly after 6pm, with officers placing a cordon around the fast-food restaurant. Eyewitnesses inside Taco Bell had reported a stabbing before CSI officers arrived to conduct their enquiries.

Greater Manchester Police have arrested two boys on suspicion of assault and possession of a bladed article. A spokesperson for the force said: "We were called to reports of a stabbing at 6.09pm on Riverside Walk. Boy, 13, taken to hospital with serious injuries. Two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of a bladed article. Enquiries are ongoing."
