Emergency services were called to Silvertown Way at 4:17 p.m. on Monday following reports of a child in the water at London's Royal Victoria Dock. A boy, believed to be 13, was recovered by first responders and given first aid, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Police Investigation and Family Support
The Met Police confirmed that the boy's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. The cause of death is under investigation, but the incident is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
