Two men have been arrested after police pulled over a car in Bolton and found a large amount of Class A drugs and a machete inside.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police's Bolton North Neighbourhood Policing Team became aware of the vehicle on Mortfield Lane in the Halliwell area of the town yesterday evening (Thursday, September 24). Two people inside were detained and searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act, the force said.
Drugs and weapon discovered
One man was found with a large amount of Class A drugs whilst a machete was found inside the vehicle, they said in a post on their Bolton Facebook page.
Suspects in custody
Both men, aged 19 and 28, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of an offensive weapon.
"Both suspects remain in custody for questioning," GMP said.
