A body has been found in the search for a missing rock climber, Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed on Thursday evening. The discovery was made in the coastal area of Caer Bwdy, Pembrokeshire.

The man, identified only as Ben, 47, from St Davids, was reported missing on Wednesday, August 5. He was last spoken to by family at around midday, when he intended to go rock climbing in either the Carreg y Barcud area, near Trelerw, or Caer Bwdy Bay, outside St Davids.
Dyfed-Powys Police said an ongoing search involving the coastguard helicopter and vessel had been deployed. In a statement released on Thursday evening, the force said: "Formal identification has not yet taken place, and while the family have been informed of this development, we are not in a position to confirm the identity of the deceased at this time. They are being supported by specially trained officers."
Appeal for information
Ben was described as around 5ft 11in tall, of athletic build, with short brown or greying hair and brown eyes. He was carrying an orange bag and wearing black climbing shoes with an orange strap.
Anyone who has seen or spoken to Ben since midday on August 5 is asked to contact Dyfed-Powys Police. The force asked that the family's privacy be respected while enquiries continue.
