Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed that a body was found on Thursday in the coastal area of Caer Bwdy, Pembrokeshire, as part of the search for a missing man.
Ben, 47, from St Davids, was reported missing on Wednesday, August 5, after he left his home at around midday, believed to be intending to go rock climbing.
Search and discovery
The force said in a statement on Thursday evening: "Formal identification has not yet taken place, and while the family have been informed of this development, we are not in a position to confirm the identity of the deceased at this time. They are being supported by specially trained officers."
It is believed Ben intended to head to either the Carreg y Barcud area, near Trelerw, or Caer Bwdy Bay, outside St Davids.
Ongoing enquiries
The Coastguard boat and helicopter were involved in the search after Ben's loved ones raised the alarm when they did not hear from him for hours.
Police have asked that the family's privacy be respected while enquiries continue.
