A body has been discovered near Thornton Reservoir in Leicestershire in the search for missing man Mark Parry. The 45-year-old, from Earl Shilton, was last seen on Wednesday afternoon at his home in Westfield Avenue and last contacted a relative on Thursday morning.
Leicestershire Police confirmed that a body was found on Saturday at the reservoir, approximately eight miles from Earl Shilton. Although formal identification is pending, it is believed to be Mr Parry. His family are being supported by officers and have requested privacy during this difficult time.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner. The force had previously issued a public appeal for information regarding Mr Parry's whereabouts.
