West Midlands Police are investigating after shots were fired at a property on Foley Road, Birmingham, in the early hours of Saturday 4 July. This marks the second time the same house has been targeted within a week, following a similar incident on Wednesday 1 July.
Incident Details
Police received reports that the occupants of a vehicle fired shots at the house just before 2:30am. No injuries were reported. The family living at the property had already been safeguarded after the first attack, which occurred at around 7:30pm on Wednesday.
Police Response
Officers are reviewing CCTV footage and conducting door-to-door enquiries in the area. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We are investigating after shots were fired at a property in Foley Road, Birmingham, in the early hours of today (Saturday). Thankfully, no one was injured and we are working to identify and trace those involved."
The spokesperson added: "Investigators understand the shots were fired at the house by the occupants of a vehicle just before 2.30am. It follows a similar incident at the property at around 7.30pm on Wednesday (1 July) during which no one was hurt."
Community Reassurance
Police have pledged a visible presence in the area over the coming days to reassure residents. The spokesperson stated: "We know how worrying gun crime is, and we are working around the clock to take guns off the streets of the West Midlands."
