Police have arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder following a shooting in Bexleyheath, south-east London, in the early hours of Sunday.
Emergency services were called to Broadway shortly after 2am to reports of a shooting. Officers from the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service attended the scene, where a 30-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound and another man, aged 35, with a head injury.
Both men were taken to hospital for treatment. The condition of the gunshot victim is not yet known, while the 35-year-old, who is believed to be the suspect, was also taken to hospital due to his injuries.
A cordon was put in place near the Esso garage, and several police vans were seen at the scene. The Met Police has appealed for anyone with information to call 101, quoting reference CAD 630/04Jan.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed that a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance was also dispatched to the scene.
