A man has died after being punched and kicked in the head outside a pub in Salford. Ben Wright, described as a 'beautiful human being', was attacked near Dessie's Place on Liverpool Road in Cadishead at around 2.40am on Sunday.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene following an altercation involving several men. Mr Wright sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he was initially in a critical condition. He was pronounced dead on Tuesday.
Tributes have been paid to Mr Wright, with friends and family remembering him as a 'kind-hearted soul' and a 'beautiful human being'. It is understood his organs are to be donated to save others.
Dessie's Place posted a heartfelt statement, saying: 'Ben wasn't just someone who worked with us, he was part of our family. His smile, his laugh, and his presence brought so much life into the place.'
Three men, all aged in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault but have been bailed pending further enquiries.
