North Wales Police have cordoned off an area of Pensarn Beach in Abergele after a suspicious item was found near the coastal path. Officers are asking members of the public to avoid the area while they deal with the incident.

Police statement

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "We are asking members of the public to avoid the coastal path and beach at Abergele."

"There is a cordon in place due to a suspicious item being found. We thank members of the public for their understanding whilst we deal with the incident."
