Shocking Moment: Sudanese Asylum Seeker's Violent Shoulder-Barge Caught on Camera Hours Before Fatal Screwdriver Attack
Asylum seeker's violent barge before fatal screwdriver attack

Disturbing CCTV footage has emerged showing a Sudanese asylum seeker's aggressive confrontation with a migrant hotel worker, captured just hours before he allegedly committed a fatal screwdriver attack at a deserted train station.

The video reveals 21-year-old Abdul Ezedi violently shoulder-barging a staff member at a Newcastle hotel housing asylum seekers, in what appears to be an unprovoked assault. The shocking incident occurred mere hours before Ezedi would allegedly take the life of a complete stranger in what police are describing as a random, brutal attack.

The Fatal Encounter

Later that same day, at the abandoned West Monkseaton Metro station in the early hours of the morning, Ezedi allegedly approached 31-year-old Javed Nouri in what authorities believe was a completely random encounter. Prosecutors state that Ezedi produced a screwdriver and stabbed Mr. Nouri multiple times in a sustained and vicious assault.

Tragically, despite emergency services rushing to the scene, Mr. Nouri was pronounced dead. The attack has left the local community in shock and raised serious questions about public safety and the handling of asylum seekers in the UK.

Legal Proceedings and Ongoing Investigation

Abdul Ezedi, who arrived in Britain from Sudan via lorry in 2019, now faces murder charges and is currently in custody awaiting trial. The case has drawn significant attention due to the random nature of the violence and the short timeframe between the captured shoulder-barge incident and the fatal stabbing.

Northumbria Police continue to investigate both incidents and are appealing for any additional witnesses to come forward. The case highlights growing concerns about violent crimes committed by individuals within the UK's asylum system and the challenges faced by authorities in monitoring potentially dangerous migrants.
