A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the fatal stabbing of 21-year-old Finbar Sullivan in Primrose Hill, north-west London.

Police also arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both remain in custody.

Sullivan was stabbed on Tuesday evening and pronounced dead at the scene. His father, musician Christopher Sullivan, said his son had gone to the park to use a new camera gifted for his 21st birthday.

Another man in his 20s was taken to hospital with stab wounds found nearby, but his injuries were not life-threatening.

Detective Inspector Andy Griffin said: “My thoughts remain with Finbar’s family who continue to receive support from specialist officers at this unimaginably difficult time.”

Police have thanked the public for their assistance and urged anyone with information to come forward.
