A man has been arrested after reports of numerous thefts from vehicles in Swansea. South Wales Police said some victims have been reunited with their stolen possessions.
Arrest and custody
A 41-year-old man from Sandfields has been arrested in connection with reported thefts in St Thomas, Swansea city centre and Sandfields. At the time of writing he is in police custody.
Community assistance
Sergeant Andrew Henderson said: “I would like to thank the local community for their assistance with this investigation by way of providing us with CCTV and images. These have been crucial in helping us to identify a suspect.”
“It has been pleasing to us to be able to reunite some of them with their stolen possessions.”
Appeal for information
A force spokesperson added: "We are aware of images and footage being circulated on social media in relation to these reports. If you have captured suspicious behaviour or criminality, whether through a doorbell camera, camera phone or by other means, please provide us the details via 101, or by using our online reporting tool."
