Armed police swarmed a street in Dingle after a fight broke out at a Liverpool school. Merseyside Police were called to Dingle Vale shortly after 2.30pm on Monday, October 12, following reports of a brawl.
Witnesses report police presence
Witnesses reported seeing around 10 police cars descend on the area, with officers then seen running into the school. One witness told the ECHO: "At about half 2, around 10 police cars flew up the road and stopped in the street outside the school. Armed police, the lot. They all ran into the school.
"There were police vans, Matrix vans, they all came from nowhere. It looked like something major had happened, but most of them cleared off after 20 minutes."
Police confirm response
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed officers had attended the school following reports of a fight. The force said there were no reports of injuries or arrests, and those involved were either taken home or handed over to their parents.
The spokesperson added: "It appears to relate to a fight at the school and officers who were nearby attended.
"No suggestion on the logs of any injuries or arrests and the incident appears to have been dealt with and those involved taken home or handed over to parents."
