Armed police search Blackpool property after assault report

Armed police stormed a property in Blackpool on October 3 after a report of an assault on a woman, discovering a dead dog inside but failing to locate the suspect. Lancashire Police were called to Central Drive at 12.48pm following the report, and armed officers attended after information suggested the suspect may have weapons and that potentially dangerous dogs were inside.

Police search and discovery

Upon entering the property, officers found a number of dogs, including one that was deceased. The suspect was not found, and arrest enquiries remain ongoing. The incident brought part of Blackpool town centre to a standstill, with social media images and videos showing a police cordon and at least six police vehicles in attendance, including a dog handler unit.
