Chaos Unfolds on Lamlash Crescent

Videos shared on social media show the crowd shouting obscenities at police, who had blocked off the street. Chaos ensued as two men, one carrying a suitcase, were brought out of the flats and led by officers to a police van. Several officers surrounded the men, some with batons drawn, as they escorted them through the crowd. The men were then driven off in the van.

Police Intervene as Man Leaps Toward Escorts

A man in a hi-vis jacket was seen leaping toward the escorted men before police intervened. It remains unclear why the men were removed from the area. A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: “Around 3.05pm on Tuesday, 7 July, we received a report of a protest and disturbance in the Lamlash Crescent area of Glasgow. Officers attended and a 32-year-old man was arrested. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
