Several people were injured after an ambulance overturned in a collision with a lorry in Essex. The crash occurred at the junction of the A13 and A130 in Bowers Gifford on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency services, including six ambulances, two paramedic cars, and the East Anglian Air Ambulance, were dispatched to the scene. Police and paramedics treated multiple casualties at the site.
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service confirmed that five patients were assessed at the scene, and four were taken by road ambulance to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
Collision investigation officers were pictured at the scene, and drivers were warned to expect delays in the area. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
