A section of the A69 in Northumberland has been closed in both directions following a serious collision. The incident is believed to have happened shortly before 2pm on Saturday afternoon.

The road remains closed this evening from the Hexham Road junction to B6319 Haydon Bridge Crossroads. National Highways North East confirmed on X that the road is expected to remain closed for several hours due to the collision.
