A new Channel 4 documentary series, 'Secrets of the Hells Angels', offers unprecedented access to the notorious international motorcycle club. The series features former chapter presidents, undercover agents who risked their lives, and witnesses to criminal activities.
In the first episode, agents Jay Dobyns and Jenna Maguire go undercover to infiltrate the Hells Angels. The pressure of becoming a fully patched member pushes Jay to the edge.
Subsequent episodes explore a Hells Angel who leads a mass slaughter of enemies but later wrestles with his conscience, and an 18-year quest by a detective to bring killers to justice after a woman and her daughters are murdered.
The series also profiles Charles 'Peewee' Goldsmith, who fought to become a president only for the Angels to turn on him, and Pat Matter, a methamphetamine dealer who rises to become president of the Minnesota Hells Angels.
Undercover informant Tony Tait poses as a drug dealer to infiltrate the club and take down leader Sonny Barger, while another episode examines how the Hells Angels use hang-arounds and wannabes, with Ted Soke grooming his own son Donny to become a serial killer.
