A teenage boy has been arrested and a knife has been seized following an e-bike crash in Cardiff, police have confirmed. There was a significant police presence on Cyncoed Road on Sunday evening after officers responded to reports of a collision involving an e-bike and a car.
Incident Details
South Wales Police officers attended the scene and confiscated the e-bike along with a knife. A 15-year-old boy from Pentwyn was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife and possession of cannabis. He was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure following the crash and has since been released under investigation.
Police Statement
A spokesperson for South Wales Police stated: "Police were called to a report of a road traffic collision involving an e-bike and a car in Cyncoed Road at around 9.15pm on Sunday night. Officers attended and seized the bike and a knife. A 15-year-old boy from Pentwyn was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife and possession of cannabis. He was taken to hospital as a precaution and is now released under investigation."
Authorities have not disclosed further details about the driver of the car or the circumstances leading to the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
