Scotland's Gang War Mobs Use TikTok to Threaten Rivals

Scotland's gang war has taken a digital turn, with Mark Richardson's A-Team crew using TikTok to issue threats and taunts against rivals, including Ross McGill's Tamo Junto (TMJ) gang and the Lyons crime family. Police Scotland figures show TikTok involvement in criminal investigations surged from 121 cases in 2023 to 304 last year, highlighting the platform's growing role in gangland conflicts.

A-Team Vows 'Bullets Win' in Bloody Revenge

The A-Team, linked to Edinburgh cocaine baron Mark Richardson and the Daniel crime clan in Glasgow, posted chilling messages vowing revenge after gangsters Eddie Lyons Jnr, 46, and Ross Monaghan, 43, were shot dead in Fuengirola, Spain, last May. In a series of TikTok posts, the gang branded Dubai-based Ross McGill a "keyboard gangster" engaged in "school boy" attacks, stating: "TMJ are bottom of the food chain and are all working for a keyboard gangster. They're vandals who run and hide after setting fires."

Mourners at Lyons Funeral Threatened

Gangland mourners planning to attend the funerals of Ross Monaghan and Eddie Lyons Jnr were warned they would be targeted next. An online post, confirmed as genuine by the Record, blamed Ross McGill for the feud and read: "Anyone who attends the funeral of Edward and Ross this week will be treated the exact same way as them. This is now time to fight fire with fire." The bodies of the two men were released by Spanish authorities to their families.

Lyons Mob Mocked in Prison Video

In July, a video filmed inside Edinburgh's Saughton Prison showed six masked men mocking the Lyons mob. The 14-second clip, captioned "F*** the L mob haha keeman," featured the unidentified crooks making hand gestures and shouting, with chants of "yes" and laughter. The person filming shouted: "Haha. F*** the L mob! F*** that Lyons mob!"

TMJ Claims Responsibility for Machete Attack

Ross McGill's TMJ gang took credit for a violent machete attack in Rutherglen in September. A masked gang ambushed a 50-year-old man in a flat on Skye Road, with a source telling the Record that thugs battered "through a door" armed with "machetes." The victim was allegedly behind "A-Team" TikTok videos mocking McGill and his cronies. The source said: "This guy is being blamed for creating all the A-Team TikTok videos that were calling out Ross McGill and Steven Lyons."

Firebomb Threat Against Eddie Lyons Snr

The A-Team issued a firebomb threat against Eddie Lyons Snr, 67, father of kingpin Steven Lyons, 45. The gang posted on TikTok, threatening to "blow up" his home in Cumbernauld and warning that Ross McGill and Steven Lyons remained targets. Eddie Snr once controlled the family's crime operation but has been replaced by his son in recent years.

Direct Threat to Ross McGill

Mark Richardson's A-Team threatened Ross McGill with a "bullet to the head" after McGill ordered a skip lorry rammed into the home of a woman whose son had ripped off McGill in a £500k fake cash deal. The gang warned they would target McGill's family if he did not face them. McGill is currently believed to be on the run in Russia.
