Abbas Hussain, 36, has been charged with animal cruelty following an alleged incident at Boggart Hole Clough in Blackley, north Manchester.
Investigation and charge
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they were alerted to a video circulating on social media showing the alleged incident. An investigation was launched, leading to Hussain's arrest. He has been charged under Section 4 of the Animal Welfare Act and remanded into custody.
Hussain is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court today. GMP thanked community members and witnesses for their assistance, stating: "Your assistance has been invaluable in helping us respond swiftly."
