Police have arrested a man in connection with an alleged animal cruelty incident in a north Manchester park.
GMP's Harpurhey Neighbourhood Team said they were 'made aware' of a video on social media showing 'a male in a park' who was 'allegedly harming animals'.
Arrest made at Boggart Hole Clough
Following enquiries, officers made an arrest on July 27 in connection with the incident, believed to have taken place at Boggart Hole Clough in Blackley. The man is in police custody and will be questioned as part of the ongoing investigation.
Police thank public, urge caution
In their update, police thanked the public for their assistance but asked them to refrain from 'speculating' or sharing unverified information. They stated there is no wider threat to the public.
