Ibiza party boss rises in Lyons gang ranks

Thomas Bilsland, a 39-year-old Ibiza party promoter, has risen to a senior role within the Lyons crime gang, according to The Record. His promotion follows the arrest of Steven Lyons, 46, and 15 others in a sting led by Spanish police.

Background and switch of allegiances

Bilsland was previously a member of the rival Daniel clan and was stabbed by Lyons enforcers in 2017 before switching sides. He spends around six months each year in Ibiza, where he advertises 'party supplies' to holidaymakers on social media.

High-profile social circle

His Instagram pictures show him alongside famous DJs, football players, actors, and reality TV stars. Among them is Wayne Lineker, the 64-year-old brother of Gary Lineker and owner of O-Beach Ibiza, who has been a prominent figure on the island for two decades.

Bilsland is also pictured with EastEnders star Dean Gaffney, whom he calls his 'Ibiza brother,' and with Callum Best, son of footballer George Best. His celebrity contacts include DJs Pete Tong, Jazzy, Sonny Fodera, Ben Hemsley, and Billie Clements.

Football and party connections

Pete Tong has played on the island almost every summer for 35 years, with residencies at clubs like Pacha and Eden. Jazzy is the world's most-streamed female DJ and dance vocalist, while Sonny Fodera recently completed a 22-week residency at Pacha and has over one billion streams.

Bilsland regularly flies to Scotland to watch Rangers matches. A post from last summer shows him smiling with midfielder Ross McCausland, captioned 'Ibiza renunion with Ross Mcausland, Glasgow Rangers.' He also partied with retired footballer Jamie O'Hara, who has spoken on TalkSport about being restrained by one of Conor McGregor's bodyguards. O'Hara has admitted to spending £40,000 in four days on the island.
